Mindfulness while Eating: Challenge

Hey Beautiful,

I posted this inside my Facebook Group today, and I wanted to share because:

a) I’ve been SO inspired by mindfulness lately, and

b) I’ve been noticing some incredible changes in my health because of it.

So, while inspiredly reading A New Earth today, this came to mind and I wanted to share it here, so you could reference it however long into the future as it may help you:

Mindfulness

With your next bite, sip or snack, bring yourself completely into it.

What are the flavours?

Do you love it?

Is your body or mind fully in love with every texture, flavour, spice?

And when you’re less enamoured, overwhelmed in deliciousness or thrilled by each taste, put it aside. Be complete.

This has been my latest experiment in food and enjoyment. I’ve been surprised to find how full I’ve felt before my plate was empty; and how much less I’ve been eating (while being happy and sustained).

I know days get busy, thoughts can cycle, people around you can feel overwhelming enough to forget these simple delights, but food is connection; shared at every important gathering and celebration, and cherishing it can be a beautiful, calming and renewing experience.
